Welcome to Falkirk & District Association for Mental Health

Our mission is to provide quality services that support and help to empower anyone experiencing and recovering from a mental health problem and their carers. We provide local support for anyone in the Falkirk Council area and offer a variety of projects and services.

We are committed to the principles of social inclusion and to raising awareness and understanding of mental health issues.

Mental health problems can affect anyone and one in four of us will experience mental health problems at some time in our lives.

You can find out more about what we do by going to the Services Section.

FDAMH is managed by a board of directors that is elected by the membership. Board members come from all walks of life; some are professionals, some are carers, some are mental health service users. All are committed to improving the service that we offer, and to de-stigmatizing mental illness. FDAMH employs 13 members of staff in its various projects. Volunteers are central to FDAMH’S activities and 88 volunteers contribute as befrienders, counsellors or working along with staff in administration, drop-in, outreach groups and other activities. Volunteer application forms are available.

FDAMH was established in 1981.We are a charity registered in Scotland, Charity Number SCO11889, and a company limited by guarantee, Registered Number 151357.
