Link Service
The Link Service aims to support people who have become isolated, or who are at risk of isolation, as a result of experiencing mental health problems.
Individuals are put in touch with local services and supported to make fuller use of these. The ultimate goal is to aid recovery by promoting integration with the wider community and provide opportunities for social contact, learning and employment.
How The Service Works
The Link Worker will work closely with you to enable you to achieve your goals and can also help with practical, financial, emotional, social and leisure issues. The Link Worker will help you to think through your options, plan a course of action, and if needed, accompany you to your chosen services.
People usually begin by meeting weekly with the worker, progressing to every 2 or 4 weeks depending on need. Since the service aims to enable a transition to other community resources, people will usually be seen for six months to a year maximum.
