Support Groups
FDAMH’s counselling service periodically offers support groups. There are occasions when the support of others in a group work setting is more beneficial to people than individual counselling alone. Our trained counsellors facilitate the groups which run for a specified time period (normally 8 weeks) and are limited to eight people per group.
General information
Support groups are available to people aged 16 and over living in the Falkirk and District area. The service is free of charge.
Bereaved by suicide group: Every day around two people in Scotland die by suicide. For those left behind, family, friends and colleagues, there are many unanswered questions. Our Bereaved by Suicide group, running periodically, aims to help those affected by this devastating event. The group offers a safe environment to explore, with others, the whirlpool of emotions following suicide. If you are interested in participating in the group please contact us by telephone on 01324 671615 or by emailing us at admin@fdamh.org.uk. Eating Disorders Group: The last eating disorders group ran in January/February of 2011, we will advertise details of the next group as soon as they are available.
