Representatives from FDAMH have been commenting on good practice guidelines relating to Rights, risks and limits to Freedom and Advance Statements. Linda McGonigle, Service User and Carer Involvement Coordinator and two representatives went along to the Mental Welfare Commission offices in Edinburgh to take part in the exercise. Participants were very positive about the consultation experience. This is a first in a series of guidelines and we look forward to being included in future consultations on these.
The Mental Welfare Commission will be visiting the Sensory Centre in Camelon on Monday 19th January 2015, 12.30 — 2.30pm. The commission want to hear from people in general about any concerns they may have about mental health services. Sharing experiences is essential to make sure services continue to improve. If you would like to be involved in this please contact Linda McGonigle on 01324 671600.
