Developing a fun, therapeutic and creative programme for all

Activities at FDAMH have received a substantial boost with the recruitment of Emily Stewart as our dedicated Project Group Worker and Media Coordinator. Building on the success of our Arts and Media Group, Emily will be opening up opportunities more widely to people accessing any of our services.

Emily says “My background is predominately in the Arts. I graduated from Gray’s School of Art in Textiles and Surface Design with BA (hons) in 2009 and upon graduating I developed my own business designing and printing silk scarves. After exhibiting my work in London in 2009 up to 2013 – which I found to be a very enjoyable experience — I relocated to Switzerland where I worked for the last 2 years as a programme coordinator and carer in a Swiss Bi Lingual day school.

I am very excited to start my new position here at FDAMH and am looking forward to starting our new creative writing classes with Andy Manders on the 24th of September as well as a Network Rail Drama Project with Kat Wilson which will be performed in the Edinburgh Waverly Station in November. I welcome all suggestions from staff and service users as to activities that they would like to see introduced in FDAMH and will endeavour to facilitate a fun, therapeutic and creative programme for all.”
