FDAMH has long recognised the value of every one of the volunteers who give their time to support the services.
In January this year we embarked on the journey to gain the national accreditation Investing in Volunteers (IiV). Investing in Volunteers is the UK quality standard for good practice in volunteer management. The rigorous process ensures that our volunteers receive the best possible management support. As well as providing evidence of accurate policies and procedures and best practice, our volunteers played an important part of the process by participating in interviews with an assessor to validate that the information submitted was accurate.
We are delighted to announce that we achieved the award on the 27th July 2017 following the Investing in Volunteers Quality Assurance Panel meeting. Achieving the standard demonstrates to our volunteers that they are truly valued and for future volunteers it showcases our ability to provide a great volunteer experience and demonstrate our commitment to volunteering.
