FDAMH’s first Counselling Skills Course off to a great start!

During September fourteen students enthusiastically embarked on a year’s part-time study for the COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills Course at FDAMH. With the expert support of experienced tutor, Wendy Campbell, the student group has gelled together well, creating a beneficial open and supportive environment for the students to work in. The course helps students to develop advanced communication skills and learn counselling theory; it is also an essential foundation step for those who wish to study for a degree in counselling.

Reporting on the first evening, course tutor Wendy said “I’m glad to say it went off with great gusto and as a trainer I couldn’t have asked for better. I was so impressed with the groups’ interest in expanding their knowledge in counselling skills whether it be in a professional or personal capacity or both!”

This first course was over-subscribed, however, should demand be sufficient we may be in a position to commence a further course later in the year. If you are interested in finding out more or signing up please visit our course page.
