Our ‘Fabulous Felters’ are excited to be displaying their beautiful felt creations at a local exhibition.
Coffee on Wooer will be featuring the work of the FDAMH felt making class, who have been discovering the Art of felt making. Creating everything from jewellery to landscapes their imaginations have been the only limit with Felt Artist Lynn Knox guiding them through different artistic processes.
Our exhibition opening will be held on Friday the 2nd of September at 7.30pm at the Coffee on Wooer, Falkirk. The exhibition will continue for a month.
Our next felt-making group starts on the 9th September. Activities at FDAMH offer excellent opportunities for people to enjoy the benefits of being with others and to build self-esteem and confidence and experience the pleasure of exploring new interests and challenges. They can help people feel more able to engage with other opportunities in their communities.
Perhaps you feel strongly about the importance of the arts in mental health recovery? We are always keen to hear from people who would like to support our activity groups, whether one-off workshops or a longer-term commitment to helping out with the groups – please simply contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Morag Fullard, at FDAMH to find out more.
