FDAMH’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Drop-In Service is changing! The service, which is changing its name to Central Spark, will come under the umbrella of FDAMH’s thriving Social Spark Service so that we can offer a more beneficial range of pathways and progression for people using both services.
For those who are already familiar with Social Spark and FDAMH, you know that we are constantly monitoring and evaluating our services. We look for ways to improve service provision and adapt services to meet changing needs or demands and make best use of all our resources.
Central Spark will offer a new starting point for people who may not be ready to participate in the wide-variety of community-based social contact groups currently offered within the Social Spark service. By attending Central Spark people will be able to come into our centre for up to 4 half days each week. Each person will work closely with the Central Spark’s new Recovery Worker on their individual Personal Development Plan, ensuring that people are moving forward in their recovery and pursuing goals that they’ve identified as important to them. Whilst attending Central Spark people will have access to a range of helpful activities and psychoeducational courses and the service allows people to meet others and begin the process of getting back out there into the community with developing confidence and renewed self-esteem and self-worth.
If you have any questions about the new service, please contact Michele Reap, Social Spark Manager.
