Winning pupils raise £3000 for FDAMH

3 amazing pupils (Rebecca, Rachel and Rachel) from St Modans High School, Stirling have raised £3000 for FDAMH through the Youth Philanthropy Initiative.

This is an active citizenship programme that raises awareness amongst young people about philanthropy and their local community. It is all about creativity and passion, leaving the four walls of the classroom behind, and supporting the issues young people care most about.

The pupils chose FDAMH and came to visit our Centre last month and then had to present our story to their peers. As class winners our trio went through to the school final where they were up against other pupils representing 8 other charities.

The YPI programme helps young people to understand and make a difference in their local community. It helps schools support a curriculum programme where young people gain a voice, take youth action and become philanthropic.

Finally, of course such an award makes a meaningful impact on our work in the community.

Well done girls — a tremendous effort.

If you know of any other pupil(s) keen to support our work through YPI please get in touch — 01324 671 600.
