Feeling Festive, not lonely, with TAB

Fun at the Beefeater

Christmas can be a particularly hard time for people struggling with isolation and loneliness, but FDAMH’s Third Age Befriending service is busy making sure our vibrant social groups are getting plenty of enjoyment and company during the season!

This week we made a return visit to the Rosebank Beefeater Grill Steak Restaurant, which was, as always, fabulous. The welcoming staff settled us into our lovely christmassy table, complete with crackers and novelty masks, which we made good use of, as you can see!

The group had a ball and were well fed, watered and attended to by lovely friendly staff. Julie and Joan particularly enjoyed the mint matchmaker ice cream sundaes! Every one rolled out with big smiles and equally big tummies.

Many thanks to all at the Beefeater for another fabulous lunch and the extra discounts for our return in the New Year.

Now we’re all really excited for our much-anticipated trip to Glasgow Pavillion’s Panto. He’s behind you!!

Third Age Befriending offers one-to-one and group befriending for older people who are experiencing or are at risk of developing reduced mental wellbeing, often as a result of big life changes like bereavement or retiring. Find out more
