Freebird Bar and Kitchen

Review by Michele

The Stepping On group visited the Freebird on Wednesday 27th July 2016.

The Freebird opened at the beginning of the year on Vicar Street in what used to be Firkins…and before that it was The Burns Bar.

We were a group of eight, going along for lunch. We were given a lovely large table with plenty of room and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The menu is extensive with a variety of traditional pub grub. We loved the lunch meal deal which was soup and a sandwich for a very reasonable £3.95! Members of the group also ordered other meals like fish and chips, steak pie, and sausage and mash. The food was all freshly made, and toasty hot. The portion size was excellent and we found it very good value for money.

The group was made very welcome and would recommend it as an excellent place to go out for a hearty meal!
