Annual Report 2014 to 2015

Manager’s Review and Look Ahead

A quick glance at the report will highlight that this has been yet another busy year in FDAMH. In common with previous years we have seen a significant increase in the number of people using our services and we are grateful to the myriad of funding sources that have enabled us to continue to meet this demand.

New developments during this reporting period include the addition of a volunteer development coordinator to our team, a partnership project with Falkirk Council (Building Resilience Project), Mindfulness courses and the introduction of our Training Academy.

We have also forged new partnerships and are working in conjunction with local schools, colleges and universities to increase awareness of mental wellbeing and help reduce the stigma and discrimination so often associated with reduced mental wellbeing.

We are looking forward to participating in the review of community based mental health services currently being undertaken by NHS Forth Valley and Falkirk Council; to the outcome of an audit of FDAMH that is being conducted by a group of people who use the services; and to the continued development of all of our services in response to the needs of the people of Falkirk.
