David McClements completes final term as Chair

Board Members

The team at FDAMH were sad to say farewell to FDAMH’s Chair, David McClements, this week as he chaired his final Board Meeting and AGM.

David has provided ten years of service on FDAMH’s Board and, at the AGM, he highlighted the great changes he has seen since he joined in 2008. In particular, David noted how much more willing people are to talk about their mental health and seek support from organisations like FDAMH. This is reflected in the continued growth in demand that FDAMH has experienced through all the years of David’s tenure.

With this in mind, David mentioned the importance of FDAMH’s efforts to find new premises and the role of funders and partners, old and new, to help us achieve this vision.

David also expressed his gratitude to volunteers for the hugely valuable work that they do.

We are pleased to reveal that David will continue supporting FDAMH in another volunteer role, although his excellent contribution to the work of the Board will be missed.

At the AGM we were delighted to have Hollie Houghton and Chris Gray appointed as new Board Members. Angus MacVicar, serving on FDAMH’s board since 2013 has been appointed as FDAMH’s new Chair.
